Mountain Biking

Tahoe Rim Trail – This trail is the #1 reason why so many bikers choose to visit Lake Tahoe. The Tahoe Rim Trail can be accessed via other trails, right behind our house. Click here for a map of the Tahoe Rim Trail.

Snowmobiling

Rentals – A rental company called Lake Tahoe Snowmobile Tours provide guided tours that cover over 100 miles of trails in Tahoe, and offer the best views in the area. Click here for more info.

Got your own sled? We have trail access just down the road so you can get sledding whenever (and as often) as you like… just like the locals do.

Kayak/Canoe/SUP

Sand Harbor State Park, Nevada – Just across the lake, about a 35 min drive, you can experience whatever type of paddling your heart desires at Sand Harbor State Park. Click here for more info.

Emerald Bay State Park, California – At the southern end of the lake, about 45 minutes away, is another great option for paddle-lovers at the world famous Emerald Bay. Click here for more info.

Skiing/Snowboarding

North Lake Tahoe – Whether you’re a true beginner or a seasoned shredder, North Lake Tahoe has everything you need for a day full of downhill fun. Click here to see all your downhill options in North Lake Tahoe.

Hiking

There are soooo many hiking trails all around the lake! Just walk out the back door of the cabin and you will walk into a single-track trail.
If you turn LEFT: You will go to the top of Old County Rd.
If you turn RIGHT: You will join the large OHV trail that heads towards Truckee with many offshoot trails towards Garwoods, Northstar and other nearby neighborhoods.
Just remember your way back! We are the light wood A-frame home with the green trim, if you are looking for it from the trail 😊

 

River Rafting

The Truckee River – Take a leisurely, self-guided 5 mile, 2-3 hours trip down the Truckee River. Fun for the whole family, including your pups! Click here for more info.

Have a Family Game Night

Foosball, electronic darts, cards, or board games – our Game Room has everything you need for a fun-filled, competitive night in with the family.

Stargaze from the Hot Tub

What better way to unwind after a day of Tahoe adventures than with a long soak in the hot tub as shooting stars streak by above. Bottle of wine, optional but encouraged!

Have a Movie Night

Pop some extra buttery popcorn, put on your comfy clothes, and head on down to our in-house theatre to have your very own movie night. Pants not required.

Do Mountain-top Yoga

Take the path behind the cabin to a picturesque overlook of Lake Tahoe – perfect for some sun salutations and lake appreciation. Stretch it out, soak it in, and stay awhile.

Hit the Beach

While most of the shores of Lake Tahoe are rugged and rocky, there are several public beaches, perfect for a day of sunbathing, swimming, or having a picnic alongside the epic blue waters.
